Simple. Different. Delicious.

Mashed White Beans
from "Everyday Food" - serves 4

1 tablespoon olive oil
2 cloves garlic minced
2 large cans (15oz. each) cannellini beans rinsed and drained
1 tablespoon chopped fresh sage
1 1/4 cups water


1. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the garlic, stirring until golden, about 1 minute.

2. Add the beans, sage and 1-1/4 cups water. Cook, stirring often until beans are hot and liquid thickens, about 4 minutes.

3. Mash beans, leaving some whole. Season with salt and pepper.
