These burgers are flavored with marinara and parmesan.
I nice change from your basic burger and a favorite of Jessicas.

After Mike's fiasco, I should add that ground turkey has very little fat, so if mixture is on the dry side, or won't come together well, you can add an egg or egg white to bind it.

Italian Turkey Burgers
by Nancy Alexandroff - serves 4
4 Italian Rolls split
1 clove garlic halved
1 pound ground turkey
1/2 cup marinara sauce
1/3 cup onion finely chopped
1/4 cup Italian-seasoned bread crumbs
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese freshly grated
1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped
4 slices mozzarella cheese

1. Preheat broiler.

2. Place rolls, cut sides up, on a baking sheet. Broil until lightly toasted. Rub garlic evenly over cut sides of rolls. Set aside; keep warm.

3. Combine turkey and remaining ingredients except cheese. Divide mixture into 4 equal portions, shaping into 1/2-inch patties. Place on broiler pan; broil 7 minutes on each side or until done. Place burgers on bottom halves of rolls; top each with cheese slice; broil until cheese melts. Cover with tops of rolls.
